Girls, I think I've missed out by buying my dress online and thus I have no idea what type of veil to go for and I've got no one to ask.
I will most probably have my hair half up-half down and would like a veil that sort of clips in the back. I'm also thinking it should be at least elbow length.
Can anyone suggest something that would go with my dress? I'm quite lost. Thanks

Your dress is beautiful, as to the veil can't be much help personally as I know they are traditional but never been keen on them myself.
Can you get on Pinterest? If you put 'wedding veil' in the search box loads come up, maybe look through them and see what goes with a dress similar to your own? If it was me I'd team the dress with a hat with lace trailing down the back.
All depends on what sort of look you are going for. If you are thinking of buying a veil from a shop, personally I don't see why a good shop wouldn't help you decided which style of veil would be best for you. I read somewhere that if your dress has a detailed bodice/bust area (ie the top section has a different pattern to the skirt, if that makes sense) then the veil should end wherever the bodice finishes to accentuate the waist. So I think an elbow length veil would look good with your dress. Anything longer, such as down to your fingers, might look a bit strange as it will just end somewhere random rather than complementing the style of your dress, if you see what i mean.
Does the dress have beading on the back? If so, I would go for something plain so the pattern of the dress shows through. If the dress is plain at the back, then maybe you could have a veil with a few crystals scattered over it.
eBay is a great place to start, they have some really cheap veils on there. Most veils seem to come with a comb attached so you can slide it into your hair do, and then it might need a few pins to hold in place.
As MrsBones says, a good bridal shop should be able to give you some proper advice if you're struggling!0 -

Ooh yeah ill have a look on Pinetrest today. I was looking on Etsy but there are so many, I just didnt know what I was looking for. I was thinking that maybe a shop would be a bit put off seeing as I already have my dress from somewhere else but there's nothing stopping me going to a couple I guessThanks.

That makes total sense about the veil length. The dress has the same beading on the back as the front so maybe a plain one would be best. I hadn't even thought about ebay for veils so ill have a look there as wellThanks

I got my veil from ebay, the one in the bridal shop was £149, the ebay one was £14! One tip - make sure it's sewn onto the comb instead of glued on - because then there's no chance it'll fall off the comb.
It came packed very small, but I hung it up in the bathroom to steam out.
I agree with the elbow length, or even a bit shorter. Any longer and it'll just be one long drop from veil to dress.
If you're thinking of wearing the veil over your face - avoid the ones with diamante bits dotted around the fabric. I tried one of these on in the shop and at times it looked like I had a bit of sparkly snot under my nose!0 -

They did mine a few weeks ago, it was £124 instead of the £280 the dress shops were charging, mine is a two-tier, diamond white sparkle, fingertip length veil with pearl & rhinestone edging.
They also sew the veil to the comb rather than glue which is far more secure and better quality.

Thanks for the links, I've ordered some samples now so I can compare to my dress. There are some really beautiful ones on blissful gifts .
