Student childcare grant

Hi just wondering if anybody can help me...

I have just received a childcare grant as I have started University, but the amount seems a lot less than it should of been, will this change when I have sent proof of childcare costs form which is due in October or will it stay the same as currently I am putting towards a third of my own money to cover the costs

you received a childcare grant ? and your attending university ? sorry for sounding dumb but i didn't realise children were allowed to attend university unless you were a prodigy ?? puzzled

What? She gets a grant to pay for childcare while she is at uni?!

I don't know OP, I don't qualify as I'm OU, but I'd suggest giving them a call?


I know the child care aspect of tax credits only covers upto 70% of costs?.....

You should recive 85% of your childcare costs, up to certain limits.
