Marshall Hoares - Minus Amount

So I have been paying back a debt to Toothfairy / Marshall Hoares / NDR

My last statement from them said I owed them £-18. I therefore thought that my plan had come to an end and wasn't too fussed about the extra £18 paid.

However a couple of days ago took £250 from my bank account and now I have received an e-mail saying I have an outstanding amount of £268 and that I am to pay them an extra £72.

I have been pretty good in dealing with my debt in terms of repayment plans etc but this has completely confused me.

Do i ask them for my money back or do I go elsewhere for help?

Get them to provide a full statement of account showing all payments, charges, fees and interest. That will provide a basis for determining whether they ae correct or not.

I would write to them to ask them for an explanation of the additional amount they say is outstanding and the amount that they took from your bank 2 days ago.

Have you been paying by DD or by continuous payment from your debit card? was £250 the amount you had been paying each month?

I had been making monthly payment of £100 hence why I stopped payments once my account reached the minus amount.

So was the payment taken by DD or by CPA?

If by DD and you were not informed of the deduction in advance then you may want to claim it back under the DD guarantee.

They may well have lumped on a whole load of extra charges as well.
