Sky or Virgin Media?

My friend is thinking of getting either a Sky or Virgin package.
He wants it too include a TV and Landline package.
He doesn't have Sky or Virgin at the moment so would be a new customer to both.
He wants the package to include the Discovery Channels.
Looking at the Virgin site he can select 2 for £20 which includes TV Size - L and Phone Size - M. This would do him but he wants the L size Phone, can he not make his own package up?
Does anybody know of any offers around or which wuld be better for him?
Thanks

I work for VM - you can pick and mix on all the packages.
What he needs is broadband size M and telephone for £20 as you stated but with size L phone which is an extra £3.95.
I would look at whats on the TV packages as the L tv does not contain all the Discovery channels - see the channel lisitngs

If you want the XL tv pack it would make the package £9 dearer and if he's in that teritory (£32.95) he could get the 3 for £30 (XL tv free for a year) with broadband and a £3.95 upgrade to L phone - total price £33.95.0
