Take dancing lessons!

Only 4 weeks to go to our nuptials, and when we first started talking about it we joked about taking dancing lessons so we wouldn't do the "embarrassed shuffle" first dance.
Far too late, we started going to lessons. Had our fourth one yesterday. It's absolutely great fun, completely destresses you, and met such a lovely group of people. Not bad for £6 an hour! We have every intention of keeping it up after the wedding.
Still not sure how we are going to fit what we've learned into our chosen first dance, but at least we will be able to move around the floor (and my dress will cover my feet!)
Tremendous respect for the celebs who do Strictly - hard enough mastering the steps and turns while keeping hold without doing any fancy stuff! (and I completely understand why so many of them end up involved with their dance partners - great way to increase passion levels!) :rotfl::rotfl:

We had lessons with a professional dancer, just me & DH & her. It was summer 2010, absolutely baking hot, she wore floaty summery clothes and DH didn't know where to look or hold her!
She worked out a routine for us, and we had about 6 or 7 hour-long lessons. The joy of living in Blackpool is that there are any number of dance schools to choose from!
I would recommend it to anyone, we did a jive, and we are planning to re-learn our dance so we can dance at DH's niece's wedding in Edinburgh next year0 -

We did two 2 hrs sessions with first dance UK - they were great.
It took a bit of practicing on our own, but it was great fun having a dance, rather than uncomfortable shuffle.
We did the lessons just a few weeks before the wedding, and they cost about £150 iirc0
