Now even Ray Boulger, staunch supporter of help to buy, has suggested that the second part should probably be shelved...
After three years with little change in the amount of gross mortgage lending, indications now are it will increase about 20% this year and prices will rise around 8%.

As a result the second Help to Buy scheme, where the government plans to insure high-loan-to-value mortgages, is now redundant. The chancellor should recognise this before he wastes any more money on the new IT required to operate the scheme.

    What do you mean, "now"?

    He always has done.

Isn't that a bit like saying "errr, so Carney is speaking for the BOE now"?

It's the same Ray Boulger that the [STRIKE]hipocryte[/STRIKE] Devon was slaughtering and couldn't take seriously not so long ago.
Is this the same Ray Boulger who was encouraging FTB's to get the biggest interest only mortgage they could in 2007?

Also the one who reccomended 40/50 year mortgages to deal with HPI?

Can't take him seriously really. They very people these increases will hit is the people who followed HIS advice.

    And here
The bloke is the total opposite to some of the commentators in moneyweek and such like.

He's the same bloke who has since denied sub prime existed in the UK, but said this previously in 2006...

My bad. My pants are now well and truly around my ankles.

I've changed it to ray boulger. As he was literally reaching for the tissues over help to buy...and was quoted on here several times.

    As normal then.

    Carry on....

Nice picture. You with your trousers round your ankles and Ray Boulger with the tissues.

You lose credibility after doing a character assassination of Ray Boulger and Vince Cable but then using them to support your POV.
