I made cheesy bubble & squeak tonight and have quite a lot left over.
Can I freeze it? And should I cook it from frozen or defrost it ?

I used to buy frozen bubble & squeak so I dont see why not - it was in flat individual portions that you cooked from frozen, I assume to allow it to heat through well.I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0

Yes.
And I would defrost it before reheating, just to make sure it is really heated right through.0 -
Had potatoes and cabbage left from tonight and I would like to mix and freeze as bubble and squeak. Has anyone tried this? I know I will just leave it in the fridge till I chuck it otherwise. Have retrieved mash for fishcakes tomorrow, as I deliberately did too many, then there were so few left in the bag I did the lot.[SIZE=-1]"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Well yes and no, so no help really. I cooked bubble and squeak last week and froze the leftovers. I haven't used it from the freezer yet but I imagine it will be fine.Away with the fairies.... Back soon0

I'd say it's better to freeze the mix and make the bubble & squeak the day you want to eat it, cos we like it a bit crispy.

I mixed veg and potato on boxing day, and then fried it (i use all veg, not just cabbage) and then froze it. I heated it up in the microwave yesterday (after defrosting) and ate it - it was lovely!!!!0

You could mix them together into patties (or cakes) and freeze them - that's what I would do anyway!0

I always do this--- make bubble and squeak as normal with cooked vegetables and mash ( we used to use only cabbage but now bung anything in within reason ) then freeze it. Defrost thoroughly and cook as normal--- yummyTry and do a good deed every day.0

I can't see any reason why good old bubble & squeak shouldn't work perfectly well either way - frozen as the mixture and then fried, or as the fried mixture and then reheated.
The BT canteen in Bristol did a legendary b&s: whenever it was on the menu, you had to get there quick, as the word would go out to all the field engineers, who would then all mysteriously find that they needed to pick up stores, hand in time sheets, etc.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0
