Easy £150 made last night!

I made a cool £150 cash last night (5pm-9pm) for taking part in a mobile phone focus group. I also had a bit of homework to do beforehand but it only took me 15 minutes!
I've said it before and I'll say it again, market research is the BEST way to make a bit of extra cash on the side! And I found out about focus groups on here, so thank you! xoxoxo

Well I'm signed up to a couple of market research agencies, but I got this job through Research Opinions - https://www.researchopinions.co.uk
I read about them and the others here - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/family/make-money-surveys#focus
I'm not sure why they say it's a good agency for northerners on the article, because they do research all over the UK! Saros is apparently really good as well, but I only here from them once in a blue moon, whereas with Research Opinions, I hear from them every week. Maybe it's because of where I live??
Happy focus grouping!0 -
Although this is a good way of making money, I think you will find you are limited to the number of assignments you can do in six months. I believe the bigger agencies limit you to one every six months. Most of it seems to be in London - I get emailed out daily on various assignments but am wary of the limit.
Not sure how agencies know what you have done, unless of course they are sharing data.
Well done for the £150 as they mainly seem to be in the £30-£50 range.0 -
Hi Larac,
I'm based in the north and I think they do as many there as they do in the South. I read an article on this forum that they have to do research in all different parts of the country to get a correct geographical representation.
I think there are limits on how many you can do, but I've yet to come across this. I've just applied for as many as I can and if I get picked, bonus!
As for the £150'er, I think it was so high because it was for a whole evening. I got £120 for the group (£30 per hour) and £30 for the homework. I had to leave work an hour early though, so it's swings and roundabouts, but totally still worth it for the extra cash, I've already exchanged it into euros for my holiday next week!0
