My ds is a very fussy eater but does love pizza, but will only eat cheese and tomato.
Does anyone have a recipe where I can blend some veg into the tomato sauce to get some vegetables into him?
Thanks

I dont have a recipe as such but have used a couple of carrots and sweet potato in my pasta/tomato sauce - it helps to sweeten as well as thicken the sauce.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Anything red/orange or colourless could be thrown in and blended with it. Peppers, deseeded chilli, Onion, maybe swede or carrots. Probably loads more you could do but those are what I can think of right now.
Tiny bit of sugar in there and they wont be noticed.Borrowed - £148000 June 2013

fry onions, celery and carrots, then add tomato passata, then cook till everything is soft, then whizz up.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

This looks good: http://www.annabelkarmel.com/recipes/vegetable-sauce
I'd add some tomato puree to make it a bit more red, or even a tiny bit of beetroot.
If you want to get more sauce onto the pizza and therefor more veg, maybe you could try making something like those chicago town pizzas, where they're sort of quiche-shaped and have more 'filling' than a normal pizza.October Grocery Challenge: £20.65/£150

Also, for the cheese topping, you could try blending a little bit of cooked cauliflower with a mozzarella ball and using that.October Grocery Challenge: £20.65/£150

Thanks all, thought I would update for others finding this thread.
I sauteed carrot, courgette, red pepper and a small sweet potato (tried to keep to mild tasting, sweet veg which doesn't have a strong colour) Added passatta and teaspoon sugar boiled until veg soft. Blended.
Extra now freezing in ice cube trays.
When it comes to putting onto pizza, I will add an equal amount of tomato puree, this seems to mask the taste completely and makes a nice red colour.0 -
red pepper is the one taste that will stand out.
The other three are either bland or sweet and will be completely masked by passata.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
