Will they definitely do the bed thing as a balance transfer? That is fantastic if they will, just knuckle down and try to pay down as much as you can over the next 27 months!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

You should be able to do a balance transfer over the phone or online, make sure you do it properly (and don't just use it to pay the balance off) or you'll only get 3 months interest free and it would be better to have the whole 27 months.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Thank you- as soon as the card is here I will ring up and get the bed transferred.
Do i keep my "account" open with barclaycard, or not?Tesco Credit Card - £946.47 as of 03/01/20140 -
It depends if you can be disciplined enough not to use it.
If you have a card sitting with a zero balance usually they will inundate you with balance transfer offers to try to suck you back in again which could be useful if you still have a balance on the new card in 27 months time (obviously don't move it before your existing interest free period is up.)
If you think you'll be tempted to use it in the meantime then get rid, you already have experience of how easy credit will come back and bite you on the butt (and don't we all!)Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Ok- i panicked. I paid the bed off ontothe tesco card, I wasnt allowed to balance transfer, i asked but they just wouldnt let me.
Do I wait a few weeks then contact barclaycard and ask what offers they have, and move the £2k back onto the barclaycard?Tesco Credit Card - £946.47 as of 03/01/20140 -
