AIP - am i having smoke blown up my bum?

we're applying through lloyds at the minute and the guy in our local branch (lancaster) has been getting an earful of my worries over the last 2 times we've met her.

we were agreed in principle first time of asking and he said we've scored for it 'excellently' and there'll be no reason to take into consideration any of my other income (tax credits or regular overtime as she reckons it'll be fine).

what exactly does she mean by 'scored excellently'? would he be confident in us succeeding in the application with what we've provided thus far, or that our reports from our initial credit searches have come back fine?

reeeeally getting into what sir alex ferguson once described as 'squeaky bum time' (but this isn't a game of football)
helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)

Welp, it depends on what your actual situation is if shes blowing or not. Maybe shes impressed with your salary or deposit and thinks you will be a shoe-in? However from what I have gathered in this forum he probably doesn't know jack apart from you passed the AIP and it looks good on paper. When we got ours it was a pass or fail rather than a score but I don't know if Lloyds operate differently? Either way you wont know until you get approved or not I guess :)

Your in branch adviser has probably identified that you passed the AIP with a strong credit score so it getting excited and sharing that excitement with you.

You are right to think that this does not automatically mean all will be OK - but you are 'two nil up at half time'.
