UPS automated message

Today I had a call on my mobile that came up as 'unknown' when I answered it was a automated message that said, your parcel will be delivered tomorrow between 9am and 5pm by UPS. It didnt give a tracking number or ask me to do anything.

Has anyone had this before.

I have ordered two things from the internet that I am expecting any day, but one my mobile number is not on my account details, and the other does have my mobile number on my delivery details, but I received a email to say it was being delivered by Royal Mail and a tracking number. Unless royal mail use UPS?

Guess I will have to wait and see if anything turns up tomorrow, but wondered if anyone had ever had one of these automated messages?

    Xmas Saver!
Usually when I have ordered something from the net I log back into the website I brought it from & you can usually see it's on it's way & sometimes it gives you the name of the courier & a tracking number

I hope it's something nice what ever it is

Well it seems it will remain a mystery. The parcel I was expecting from a Internet purchase came today but it was Royal Mail tracked nothing on it to say UPS. No parcel or whilst you were out card from UPS. Just rang UPS and they said they don't use automated messages if they rang it would be a real person not a message and they checked and they don't have any attempted deliveries to my address. Very strange!

Hi i get these now and again, and did the same as you phoned UPS
    direct and there was nothing?
Seems there is some spammers who do this.
I get email which then direct you to the actual UPS site but theres never anything listed as due.
I guess they are using automated messaging to try and find in use phone n umbers and email addresses, which they then sell on.
(dont worry though never been hacked or anything through this 'phishing' method)
