Next card balance transfer

Hi I'm looking to transfer my next account balance onto a 0% credit card but have been told I can't because the next card doesn't have a 16 digit card number does anyone know how this can be done if at all please? My balance is only £240 but I'm sick of paying the interest.

If you can't pay it off in full, I think the only way to do it would be with a 0% purchase card.

Personally, I wouldn't apply for a 0% purchase card for that type of amount.

Obviously, I don't know your situation though.
  • Cheers .1xp I'm not really in a position at the moment to pay off the £240 in full I've just been paying minimum payment every month then going in next and buying more stuff and so on so the balance never seems to come down, now I got a new credit card with 0% balance transfer for 12 months and thought I'd transfer to that and get rid of the next card but having spoken to an Indian call centre for the best part of half an hour they informed me I can't do it.
I'm not really desperate to do it I just thought it would save a bit of money.

    Well it won't do!

This is meant to be constructive, so please take it that way...

You appear to be living beyond your means...at the moment at least? Maybe you have a plan to repay the debt you're amassing/maintaining...a payrise/bonus pending perhaps? If not then you ought to address your spending.
  • I see what your saying Yorkshire boy and thank you but this is the only debt I have in the world £240 and as I said I can easily manage the monthly payment but would rather not pay the interest I think a lot of people would like to only have £240 worth of debt in their lives I don't think I am living beyond my means especially.
But thanks again for your comment.

Cootiepie you might want to have a look at the Tesco card.

    http://www.tescobank.com/creditcards/?tpfpgid=tb-home&navid=lhs50-50

If you are intent on spending they have one that does 18 months 0% on purchases and 9 months for a balance transfer.

So you might be able to tranx your £240 balance and pay about £27.50 for the next 9 months to pay this off (inc the tranx fee)

If you can't tranx the £240 then I would deal with getting that paid as soon as possible (store cards normally have a high APR) .

If you get a card with 0% on purchases don't get carried away on your spending - you will have to pay it back after all. Make sure you will have funds available to pay the balance when the 0% offer runs out.
  • Cheers *scarlett I've just applied for the tesco card you mentioned so hopefully am sorted I am pretty good with money and don't spend frivolously so should be ok with that.
    Thanks again.
