Parking Eye do court, unfortunately, so you will need to deal with it.
Let's start with some dates.
When did you attend hospital ?
What was the date on their Notice to Keeper ?
and
Is it a company or hire car?
Don't worry - you won't be paying.0 -
I attended on the 22nd August
Their letter came through on 30th August
And it's my own car.
Thanks for the speedy response0 -

Forget the 14 days offer (= pointless desperate 'bribe' because you won't be paying a penny). This is well-known scam and there are ways to beat it - do not ignore it. Read any other threads on the first few pages about how to appeal as the registered keeper, without implying who was driving.
Then you'll get a rejection letter and a POPLA code, then you'll do a bit of homework, read more recent threads on the first few pages here - and the sticky threads - and learn how to word a POPLA appeal and, finally, just before Christmas the whole scam fake PCN will be cancelled.

And complain in writing to the Hospital even if they do nothing, lodge a complaint with the premises Manager or his boss, or the NHS Trust themselves; along the lines that a notorious and litigious (Google 'em!) parking firm do not have any place in a hospital car park where the visitors are vulnerable (patients or people visiting patients).PRIVATE 'PCN'? Thanks Coupon-mad
I've written a stiff email to the facilities manager at the hospital, see if they can do anything. If no joy by tomorrow I'll appeal to PE.
I've read a few threads but they seem more relative to retail car parks, what would be my reason for appeal at hospital? That their payment system is complicated at a time when people aren't thinking clearly or that the charge is disproportionate to any loss incurred (it was midnight, the car park was empty and I was 47mins over).
Appreciate you can't help every individual case, just don't want to blow it in the appeal stage.

Back on page one of this board, search the parking forum for the keyword 'Hospital' to read other hospital threads here where we have advised lots of times before re appeals. It could include 'the payment system is complicated at a time when people aren't thinking clearly and are likely to be delayed by waiting times' and 'the charge isn't proportionate, not a genuine estimate of any loss' and 'your signs are not clear and not compliant with the BPA code of practice'*
*I know that because they never are!!
Don't expect the first challenge to work. It's the game you have to play to get the 'golden ticket' of the POPLA code, where you will win if you include the usual POPLA appeal winning words that you will find posted on loads of other threads.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Hi all
Good news, following my e mail to the hospital, they have cancelled the parking charge and no further action will be taken. I can suggest that if any one else has similar issues with Parking Eye at hospitals to contact the facilities manager at the hospital and complain directly citing distress and unacceptable behavior/charges. Hopefully you can get it nipped in the bud before having to go down the whole appeal route.
Thanks to everyone for the help and advice, and to everyone else - keep fighting the good fight!0 -
Well done Beardyman, great news.
Now go and get a shave :rotfl:Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
