Does anyone make their own green cleaning products?

Does anyone here do this and could you recommend a book? I use water and tea tree or lavender oil in a ter spray to clean units but I am looking for alternatives to bleach, cream cleanser and something that would get rid of the lime scale in our toilets ( we live in a very hardwater area).
Many thanks

Just started the move to natural stuff. So far using borax, lemon juice, baking soda, white vinegar. Going well!0

Have you checked the Old Style forum - there are a lot of threads on there, and I know they have discussed making laundry detergent type stuff. I've not done any of them but may start looking as I seem to have a different spray for everything and want to save some money.
Have a look in their index sticky.0 -
There's quite a few good Internet sites that tell you how to make your own stuff.
If one of the reasons is you want to be more eco-friendly, i use 'soap nuts' instead of washing powder and you can throw a couple of them in a bowl of water and clean with it. I don't make the nuts, they grow on trees.

Thanks everyone.
I did read that Borax was less toxic to humans than non green products, however, it is more toxic to animals. Is there any alternative to Borax?
Have just found the thread on old style 'sticky' questions, there are loads of posts to read which I will do later but many people mention stardrops - what are they and where do you buy them?0 -
I use this website to make them: http://www.abowlfulloflemons.net/category/clean0

'Stardrops' isn't an ASDA own brand. I believe it's been around quite a long time. I'm sure there would be another stockist near you.NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -

Stardrops have been around for donkeys years! I buy mine from B&M or Wilkinsons, but Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury's all stock it too.You had me at your proper use of "you're".0 -
I use white vinegar to clean my kitchen. From what I have read some dentists adopt this practice. I also read a study on the efficacy of white vinegar and the results show that white vinegar is effective as an antibacterial agent.0
