Is there anything similar to CAB one can go for free advice?

Their opening hours aren't really good for me and don't think phoning them from work will be a good idea.
It is money/employment advice that I need.
Thank you very much

Most solicitors will give a free initial consultation. Choose one who specialises in employment law if that is why you need advice?

  • For employment you could look at the ACAS website, or give them a ring. I think the helpline is open until 8pm.

Some CABx have an e-mail advice service which might be better for you?

While a solicitor may give you an initial free consultation that is just to suck you in, everything else you have to pay for.

Apart from CAB there are also law centres scattered around the country, for example

That has not been my experience. Any decent solicitor should be able to advise OP whether they have a case and provide an estimate how much it would cost to pursue it for free.

These guys are great also if you're SW - I'm sure they could put you onto a similar project in your area
