Volunteering / Work Experience while on Income Support

I was wondering if i wanted to do some volunteering / work experience while on income support could this be done without benefits being affected?.
I read on the DWP website that it doesn't effect Income support and i should tell JC when i do volunteer however on some websites volunteering is only based on "non profit organisations" such as charity / local council and if i wanted to gain some free experience in say an office this might not be deemed as "volunteering".
Thanks for reading

Yes, volunteering is usually for non profit organisations, or has an element of giving to the community. Work experience in an office, work that someone would usually be paid for, is not volunteering - the JCP *may* count you as having a notional income if you did such work.
Are there no charities that you could do office work for?0 -
Thanks for the reply. Yes on the lookout, something should come up.0
