Legal enforcement

My ex-partner has actively ignored/evaded the CSA for around 5 years now, he has a large 4 figure arrears figure. CSA have finally accepted he's not playing ball and have passed his details to the 'legal enforcement' department.
Can anyone tell me what to expect from this? He doesn't own property.
The call handler today told me legal enforcement could take a while, anytime from 6 months to a year but she didn't actually say what is involved.
Any advice or stories from others in a similar position would be welcome, thank you.

The only way to 'force' a nrp to pay is a DEO, anything else the csa try is just a waste of time.0

They will apply for a Liability Order to give the debt legal standing. Follow up action includes Deduction Order, where money held in bank accounts is seized, referral to Baliff, Commital proceedings. These options are often very successful.0

He wisened to this very quickly and now changes jobs at least 3 times a year, by the time the DEO is in place he's moved on.
He has also gone through periods of taking 8 week contracts offshore, by the time CSA have wage details he's home and 'unemployed'0 -
