i have 2 policies to cover my mortage should anything happen to me or my husband so that the mortgage will be paid off. I have been told that because I have 2 none of them will pay out, can anyone verify this for me.

    That is wrong

They will both pay out should anything happen to you during the term of the policies - are they life cover only policies?

As herbiesjp, what you have been told is rubbish. If you can afford it you can have 100 policies!

    Please clarify, "should anything happen"

Could you clarify for us what type of policies these are.

Are they for Accident, Sickness and Unemployment?
Are they in the event of Death?

if they are income protection policies they won't necessarily both pay out, life/critical illness will.
