work between Christmas and New Years

Hi there
I'm investigating possible temp Christmas jobs, for the days between and including Christmas eve and New years, which I will have off from my full time job.
Does any one know of any roles which are offered for such a short period?
All the Christmas temp jobs I've looked at seem to last a month, such as Boots, Argos, Post Office etc, which I guess I can understand given the investment in training and admin involved in setting up your pay.
Still, I thought it worth posting to ask, just in case!
thanks

Maybe in a bar? Or restaurant? They would be very busy from 22 Dec - 3 Jan.0 -
You may check your local area for opportunities. Those days will be very busy for stores.0

You can even fling the big four in food - Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury's and Tesco in to the mix. They always seem to be on the lookout for additional staff between October and December, as the mad season starts to gather real pace.Lao Tzu - "Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime"

I used to work for the 'out of hours' GP service here in Birmingham answering the phones and we always took on temps for the busy Christmas and New Year period. Not sure if it's still the same as i've been out of the game for a few years but certainly worth a try if there is a call centre near to you.0

no skills there I'm afraid, would be looking for something easy to pick up by anyone. thanks for the thought.0 -
Can't think of anywhere that would recruit for a small length of time like that. Possibly the food/bar trade? Shop I work for, temps have a contract til Xmas eve which may or may not be extended depends how busy it has been and how reliable over the period of employment.
Hope you find something, wish I could think of somewhere to try.0 -
you dont need skills for healthcare, just a caring attitude to begin with, they all offer training before you start the real work, i work as a home carer an the pay is excellent compared to working in a nursing home.0
