help colour run on favourite top

OH just got back from the gym and his new pinky/red (not yet washed) hoodie has run under the arms into his white basketball top.

So he has red/pink stains in his white top, ideas on getting it out?

colour catchers (think from Dylon but supermarkets have their own) - stick it in the machine with one of them & hopefully, will come out.
I'd soak the top in cool soapy water until you get them, if you don't already have them.
  • Thanks not got a colour catcher. Will keeping it in cool water stop it setting?
  • popped into waitrose this afternoon and found Dylon SOS colour run, going to give it a go tonight.

oh sorry - didn't check back on thread - hope you/he managed to get the stain out ok.
You get several in a pack & I usually cut mine at least into half (size differs according to which ones you get) still does the job & lasts longer. :)
Useful to use in a mixed washload, especially if you're not sure whether something will run or not.
  • It worked! Thanks for the advice. I'd googled it and there were all sorts of home remedies suggested but dylon worked first time.
