Halifax Product Fee

Hi!

We started our mortage with the halifax on the 9th Aug, paid off our mortgage fee of £995 on the 20th Aug, well within the 30 day window to make sure we didnt pay interest on it!

Looking at my mortgage online, its now showing that I am £995 in arrears, which is impossible seen as my first payment only came out on the 2nd Sept and was definately paid.

I'm really struggling with the haliax as they cant seem to see my issue and I've been passed around multiple people who cant help me!!

Has anyone else had this issue?

Would appreicate any help as im now tearing my hair out and dont want this arrears sent to a credit agency!!:(

Phone them back and tell them you are making a formal complaint and want to speak to a manager.

(although it does sound more like a system issue than anything that is going to end up on your credit file - probably inability of the system to register the fee payment)
