Hello, so I am currently going through a IFA for a mortgage the DIP came back with Halifax who I bank with for £73955, i found a house for £60,000 so well under the DIP. I have found a convey Ensor and today my IFA is completing the full application with Halifax. My convey Ensor forms have been completed and just need to make initial payment for them to start the searches etc. I am holding off until the Halifax have approved my application in full, so hopefully all will go ok.
Really just came on here so can talk through the process, I declared all correct finance at outset, income 22k, loan 85 and cc o.s 4400 of which won’t be repaid. 10% Deposit all tucked away in savings, I bank with Halifax and have done for 11 years and my loan is with them for 7 years. They even sent a letter 2 month ago asking if I wished to increase my loan up to 18k, so I would hope the full app goes through ok.
What is people’s experience of using Halifax in the past?
Does anyone have and advise etc ?
Thanks

Halifax are generally reliable (provided your IFA is doing their job correctly). If you have queries about what to expect you should ask your IFA as they know the case.I am a Mortgage Broker
