MP Contacting the CSA

Hi,

I wrote to my MP asking him to refer my case to the Parliamentary ombudsman and put in an official complaint in the strongest possible terms. Also asked for your assistant to phone the Parliamentary hotline.
His assintant rang me saying he wouldnt go to the parlimentry ombudsman yet but will write a letter to the CSA.
Is this going to do anythink to help me get my payments.
Thanks for any help.

  • Hi ... I went to my MPs office, and was told that they had a direct line to the CSA (an MPs HotLine, apparently).

Having had no acknowledgement whatsoever form the CSA about my application, I got a phone call that very night from the CSA ... so it does work. I think everyone should go straight to their MP and get him/her to submit your application, it seems to be the only way to get things done with this useless bunch.

Well I wish that was the case with me. I contacted my M.P who wrote to the CSA on my behalf and I have had a reply.

The letter claims that they have written to me requesting info on the ex. That they have provided me with a name and contact number within the complaints department and a resolution plan!

*Surprise Surprise*. I have never received such a letter. Last phone call they said it had gone to enforcement. They have been saying that for the last two years.

    Soooooo Mad *Screams*

Go to another MP ... he/she can be anywhere. Just drop in to the office and start again. If you don't get anywhere, go to another one. You dont have to be a constituent.

Bet your MP is Tory though!

Thanks enemes but I am not going to bother. As a one parent family "time" is precious to me and so is my sanity. To be hit with brick wall every time I have any dealings with the CSA is just so frustrating. Why go through all that process again to find I am in a vicious circle would make me mad as hell.

I have to accept the fact that my ex is doing everything in his power not to see his own son grow up and what kind of a man does it take to do that.!

    Sorry rant over. :)

Well I would have just sent a letter back stating that this is incorrrect and perhaps they could enclose a copy of that letter as the original has not arrived. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain for the sake of writing a few letters. Just put it all in writing from now on and don't bother with the phone calls.
