Subject to 8.1 and 8.2, ITV, the programme producers and/or the Promoter will not be liable to reimburse the cost or expenses incurred in making a competition or prize draw entry or participating in a vote or poll where applicable
You need to quote 8.1 and 8.2 as well8.1Nothing in the interaction terms and conditions restricts your statutory rights as a consumer. For more details on these statutory rights you should contact your local Trading Standards Office or Citizen's Advice Bureau.
8.2Nothing in the interaction terms and conditions shall exclude or limit the Promoter’s, the programme producer’s or ITV group’s liability for death or personal injury caused by their staff or suppliers’ negligence or for fraud
If the competition is cancelled 8.1 entitles you to a refund which ITV have always offered since the reforms to the systems.0 -
Try this:

and this:

And loads more if you google "itv phone in scandal"
Those reports are 6 to 7 years old, you will struggle to find much that is recent for the standard competitioms.0 -

There is obviously is a reason for this competition being cancelled, it has happened before, although I can't recall any specifics, ( vague recall of a presenter suggesting an answer...I may be wrong)No one who has paid to enter will be out of pocket as there will be a procedure to refund costs. But as most of us here go down the no pay entry method, what is the problem??
They will probably have a bumper prize next time:j0 -

Then these competitions dont apply to you as 'You must be 18 years or over to enter'
If you were 11 in 2007 you were born 1996 meaning you cant possibly be 18 until at least 01/01/2014.:rotfl:Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:0 -

I have not entered the competition , being under 18 doesn't disqualify you from posting about it .0 -
