Rolled up Memory Foam Mattress

Options
Hi has anyone ever bought a rolled up memory foam mattress like the 1 Groupon have got on offer today (£99 for a double) ?
I am interested in this but need to be sure that memory foam doesn't go flat as a pancake with someone heavy lying on it.
Mattress World has some reasonable mattresses - does anyone have any experience of them as a retailer?
Thanks for all help.

I know three people who have bought these and they all said they are nasty and uncomfortable :/ One said it sank in the middle within days and never regained shape. At best they may work as a topper or a guest bed, but they are no good for general.

Can't comment on the one the OP is looking at, but ours shows no tendency to sag.

Leave it to open out from the roll for a day or so, and turn regularly as per maker's instructions.

    DON'T BUY the groupon one!!

It'll be horrible and groupon take 50% of the money so guess how much your memory foam mattress will be worth!!! Not a lot, therefore it'll be rubbish.

  • They are not durable. Not even good for guest room. What will you do if your guest appears without call? The mattress will go in bad shape within 2 to 3 use.

what a load of RUBBISH some people put on forum
good quality is what makes any mattress good
I bought one from http://www.ergoflex.co.uk 3years ago after a major spine op. and after comparing like for like in store , it was the best thing I did , they are good BUT not for all people, if you have back/pain problems they are excellent ,they have drawback in the fact that they reflect body heat and are warm , to counter this in summer I place a downie over top and then cover with sheet , if very warm [summer ] just have top sheet over me,I rotate 180 degrees [ not turn] every 6 month.
the service /delivery was 1st.class , vacuum packed so you have to open and let it absorb air , little smell for few hours [nothing much] it is quite heavy [ quality] due base layer [3 types foam ]
the best buy I ever made.

Why what's rubbish about what people have said?

I'm pretty sure your mattress didn't cost £99. ANY £99 double mattress will be very poor quality indeed.

£99 mattress equals £82.50 true cost of matt from retailer taking into account the VAT. Retailers mark up minimum £30 if not more. Which leaves around £50 for "cost" price of mattress, delivery costs, overheads, labour will then leave very little for materials. I.E a very poor and cheap product.

You get what you pay for in this life and mattresses are the one product that you really can't buy budget (very cheap). Even more so online as delivery cost is around £40 a mattress.

Just also bear in mind Groupon do take around 50% of the cost.

Ergoflex don't even comply with DSR's

"4.2 If you cancel the contract before or after the goods are delivered there will be an administration charge of £'20 (£'70 for next day delivery items), which will be deducted from your reimbursement "
