my CDL and the training center appears to have gone into liquidation

Options
Hello.

sorry to start like this on my first post.

I started a 2 year course with https://www.connectivitytraining.com last June.

I had not been able to attend as many weeks courses as i had planned due to other annoyances at work and home coming out the woodwork and getting in the way.

Anyway cut to now and it seems that the company has completely vanished off the face of the earth despite their website still being active.

the situation with them is verified by numerous other students who have contacted me (there were in the same sittings as me) despite numerous phone calls, emails and even other students going to the premises there is no reply and the office is locked.

one student did mention tho that the trainer told him and other students when he went in for a different subject something along the lines of that for everyone to go home the place is closing and that everyone would receive letters which no one infact has (this was approx a month ago)

So it has been roughly 2 months now.

I had taken out a CDL with co-op for £4k and others have taken a loan of £5k

I have just created a website too for other student to get in contact with the rest of us so we can help each other out. =

thank you for your time

As I see it the course and the loan are two different things.
You get a loan to do the course but if they have gone into liquidation you still have to pay the loan off.

You then become an unsecured creditor of the company. Don't hold your breath there being anything left over to claim.

IMO you have lost your money.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
(Unless some paid by credit card then they're laughing)

I found them on a Next Step London East course search page.
The usual LearnDirect number gave me 0800 917 8790 as a contact for the Next Step provision but I could only get through to an answering machine at this time of the day. Maybe you could try during office hours and see if they can tell you anything about connectivitytraining.com as they appear to be providing information about one of their courses.

    Good luck!
