CCJ Set aside

I got a CCJ registered against me over 2 years ago when living in Spain. I notified the car finance company but they didn't up date their records. Is there anyway I can get this set aside? I settled it not knowing how difficult it would be to get a mortgage and thinking there was nothing I could do because it had been 5 months since it was registered. I have proof that I was living in Spain from tenancy agreements and also proof that we had rented our house in the UK during this time.

You made no attempt to pay the debt though. So the Judge may be less than sympathetic. A CCJ is last resort. Attempts must have been made previously to recover the debt for the CCJ to be granted.0

They were trying to contact me at the address where I wasn't living at. No phone calls were made to me until it was too late.0

Do you have evidence that you informed them of the move and new address that would have got to you?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
