Called my solicitor again there and apparently my mortgage provider do not discharge electronically which would tie up with the letter I received saying I need to arrange the discharge myself.
Thanks for replies so far guys, has been very much appreciated. I thought after paying the mortgage off then that was it done and dusted0 -
You can do it yourself if you like davidqu. Just fill out the DS1 form and get your mortgage company to sign/seal it. You then send it to the Land Registry with form AP1.He said he has never heard of anybody doing this without a solicitor and
being all official.
And like tootoo said, the Land Registry team are lovely and very helpful.Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck
