Return to Earn - selling secondhand clothes
anarchied
I've just had a quick Google to see how I could flog some of my old clothes without going down the conventional eBay route and I've came across a company called Return to Earn, who will pay 60p (70p if you like them on Facebook) per kilo of clothes and will collect your bag of clothing once it weighs a minimum of 10kg. Sounds ideal as I don't have to faff about with taking photos etc, plus a few bob to put towards uni and the rest to a charity that's particularly close to my heart.
But I am a little worried as I've had a look into this sort of thing before and found a few companies who were a bit dodgy. Has anyone heard of them or used them before? I can't seem to find anything on the forums, so I'm a bit skeptical about using Return to Earn.

Seems a bit of a pittance fo 10kg of clothes.
Why not google 'local selling/auction sites in xx where you live'
No packing, no fees, you advertise, people come to your door, give you the money and take the goods away in a carrier bag.
Every place has these, I live in North Yorkshire and there are loads of them.
The groups we have are on facebook by the way, have a look on their.
Or start your own group on fb and add all your friends, get your friends to add their friends. You will be selling stuff in no time at all.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Try & sell them yourself, a friend took 5 black bags of clothing to one, (not the one you've found) it would have been about £10 , they paid just 50 or 60p a kilo, but you still won't get much.
She advertised it as a car boot or ebay seller lot & got £40 within a couple of hours of it being on Gumtree.0 -
Sorry, I completely forgot about this thread :O
I've tried about 8/9 local Facebook pages, but no luck. I'll try again.
Oooh, never thought about Gumtree.. will try that
