Many years ago we were playing in my friend's Dad's garden shed.
It was forbidden to go in there
A garden fork fell off a hook & plunged a prong down through my ankle & out through my foot :eek:
I had to put it out :eek:
We went to her Mum & she just told us off for being in there
Went home & had to be taken to The Cottage Hospital in Horley on a Sunday to have my wound cleaned, (getting graphic now sorry) they squirted a fluid into the entry wound & it dripped out the exit wound & then stitched.
I didn't mind any of this - the bit I remember as the worse bit is having to take off my jumper :eek::eek::eek: to have a tetanus jab
Ouch! Ouch and Ouch!!, girs were shy then and didnt like doing things like that, well i still dont:rotfl::rotfl:Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -

Like that:) My dad just said I was too lazy to put out my hands to protect myself when I fell over - which I did a lot. As mentioned, I got sent for a lot of tests when I was at infant school (my parents were told I might be, and I quote, "simple" ... a sign of the times).
Should've just put some Swarfega in, my dad had a tub (metal, and rusted!) under the sink, it used to get rid of anything and everything.:rotfl:
My part-time job was at Hillards, showing my age now:o ... anyone remember them? Bought out by Tesco as I remember, at least the store that I worked at was.
Not got any swarfega or I might have :rotfl::rotfl:
Yes I remembered Hillards I collected the dinner plates
Do you remember Presto didn't Safeway buy them out :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Hi guys, have not been on lately as live has been up and down eldest son still driving me mad trying to get rent out of him is like trying to get blood out of a stone, threw him out last week and he said he went to the estate agents and it will cost him 500 a month so my little 25 a week is nothing. have had him back after 3 nights but does not seemed to have changed and still waiting for rent.
On a good note youngest son started tescos this week and has just given me a pp for 1.67 and some clubard receipts. he is working on the trolleys shame the pps are not longer on line.better not complain.
Hugs to all and will try and join in a bit more. x
