The idea was for people to use the D drive to store stuff on.
However: most of us ordinary people don't actually understand this or use the D drive so half your PC's capability is sitting there unused.
It's easy to remove the D drive and add the space to the C drive you actually use, making your PC less clunky and faster.
You can always partition space as per your requirements later, if you want the D drive back later, no problem.
My D drive says "Audio CD" - how would you remove the D drive as you put it please?0 -

god I do hate numbers sometimes, i wish I had one of those brains that just *sees* them properly instead of the burning smell I make trying to work stuff out!

Numbers I can do but I get that burning smell whenever I try to remember what I did an hour agoHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
Mortgage started June 2015 = £170,000 January 2022 = £134,000
Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55

I suspect Squills is talking about partitioned hard drives, it sounds like your D drive is similar to mine in being an actually physical drive. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
