    Right - these days most PCs come with a C drive and a D drive.

    The idea was for people to use the D drive to store stuff on.

    However: most of us ordinary people don't actually understand this or use the D drive so half your PC's capability is sitting there unused.

    It's easy to remove the D drive and add the space to the C drive you actually use, making your PC less clunky and faster.

    You can always partition space as per your requirements later, if you want the D drive back later, no problem.

    My D drive says "Audio CD" - how would you remove the D drive as you put it please?

    I suspect Squills is talking about partitioned hard drives, it sounds like your D drive is similar to mine in being an actually physical drive.
