I m in bed here trying to work something out but I can t and its annoying me lol so I thought I d ask if any of you out there can tell me the answer please. It might be something really simple but I can t think straight at the moment.
Three toys cost £26.90 in the 3 for 2 at Boots. If three people bought one each how would we do it ? One toy was £12.50 half price and the other two were the same toys and they cost £18 initially and there was a deduction of £3.60 off the one that was paid for so made it £14. 40 and the other one was the free one.
Hi emerald
My brain cells have been challenged to the max on photobucket so can't help on this one.
Hope someone can assist you with the calcs.0 -

Oh my goodness emerald
Well you could take the easy route and say £9 each (give or take)
Or I suppose you could apportion a ratio based on the cost of the toys before the 3 for 2 kicked in i.e.
£12.50 (30%) = £8.14
£14.40 (35%) = £9.38
£14.40 (35%) = £9.380 -
Having a small vent (if I may)
Today has been pretty crap for me in quite a few ways.
Lost my job today, no real reason, just that they are re-structuring the department and they needed someone with more qualifications than I have.
So to cheer myself up, jumped in the car and hit Tesco's. For the first time they actually had the Cheese Pizzas there, actually felt a little chirpier!
No PP! Didn't have the heart to return them, so just came home feeling doubly sorry for myself! Still, pizza is good comfort food, so I had one for tea tonight.
Things come in three's yeah? Now I think I'm coming down with a cold too!
It has to get better now.Sealed Pot Challenge No 3060 -

obviously the easiest way to do this would be for each of you to pay 1/3rd of the bill so £8.97 each (OK 1 person would pay £8.96).
If you go on initial cost of £25 and £18 -total of £61 then the one toy would be £11.02 and the other 2 would be £7.94 each.
If you go on the reduced prices
of £12.50 and £14.40 -total £41.30 then the one item would cost £8.14 and the other 2 would be £9.38 each.
I suppose it REALLY boils down to which one you bought as to which is the better answer for you!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Vent away
Sorry about your run of bad luck.
Things can only get better, onwards and upwards0 -
:hello:Still to catch up (will I ever manage it?;)) - the M list is now the carryovers plus not much more. More items are to be added, such as those I mentioned on Wednesday night, and also Weight Watchers Petits Pains (4) is now Avs M only (but sadly looks unavailable in any of my stores according to msm - so I'll be left buying them in M itself). Shall I leave you with a mystery? I think I will - don't spoil anyone else if you already know or see its M price - M price of the Petits Pains to be revealed - but you can be sure it's a v.v. good price for M if I've mentioned the item! Why not just throw it all to the gods (if you need/want this product) and see what the APG gives?:D:rotfl::rotfl:;):)
Needing to go now, as it's back to beyond midnight once more. I'll see you Friday night!!:)
Bye!!:):)0 -

No PP?:eek: Did you buy fewer than the needed 10 diff. items or has the pricing on the PP changed?? V. sorry to hear this, your job loss first and foremost, but keep heart - something will come up at some point. Also sorry (to a little lesser extent) to hear if the PP pricing has altered.
Things may come in threes - I've had things coming in 3s for me before, and even in sixes and sevens sometimes. It does get brighter at some stage though!:)0 -
