It's on our wish list to do a river cruise eventually :)

I always had Shearings down as a cheap and slightly tacky company but the Douro River Cruise we did for my birthday in August was one of the best trips we've ever had ! I didn't realise when I booked ut, although Shearings do charter 6 different boats for sole use, they also have allocations with other boat companies. They use Croisi Europe who specialise in river cruises and they were superb. Decent size cabins with proper beds - none of this pull down/bunk style - space for cases underneath, picture windows etc. Very well fitted throughout, excellent food (no set choice but they were very happy to do something else if you told them you didn't like something), unlimited wine, beer etc with lunch and dinner. Shearings did a great job with the travel arrangements and taxi transfers and it also include a day and night in Porto at the beginning and the end of the cruise. All in all, a really lovely holiday which didn't cost the earth. It was a bit more expensive for us cos we wanted to fly from Bristol instead of Gatwick.

I had an MSM cashback payment too. I think I've lost track now of what I'm supposed to get and it looks like they're now combining payments so it makes it even harder to keep an eye on it.

I only use mine for flights :D

You can have both a Brit Airways Avios a/c and an avios.com Avios a/c and move points between them freely, so worth checking both sites to see if they have different offers eg free wine etc.

    Thanx!
Don't think we need any more wine for a while yet :D

OK £6 or £7 then as I'm only interested in curry

What do I have to buy?

You need 4 currys and 4 sides
Just looked back here is a shop done a few days ago:)

. Picked up one Tikka by mistake so lost £1.50 but noticed all 3 curries compared to M at £2 so if people want variety, this is still a good PP of £4 off £6 meal. No pizzas in store for me

At least you got a reply - more than I did a couple of weeks ago when they managed to lose my ironging board ! Ordered it online for collection but, after trogging 30 miles to collect it, they couldn't find it and had no idea where it was or what to do. When I phoned HQ they said their computer system was down and could I ring the following week. Crazy organisation. I emailed a complaint but they are too ignorant to even nd an acknowledgement never mind a proper reply.
