  • OTOH hasn't TP got senile dementia? Without wanting to be harsh (oops, offski again lol) is that going to be his best book?

Nope I just remember Iris Murdoch - one of the few female writers I enjoyed reading.

When she went off the rails, her last couple of books were just useless compared to when her brain was working properly.

Hard to say you don't like female writers without sounding sexist but I'm not remotely sexist in fact I know for a fact you lot are far better in every respect than us lot :beer::beer:

I hear you Squilliondollarbaby it does sound a recipe for potential disaster but we watched a programme about him and his Alzheimers (sp?) and he has a guy who checks it all and helps him to put his ideas into words when he is having a bad day.

OH has all of the books and they always come out just before his Birthday so easy pressie for me!

Love Terry Pratchett, no way I could name a favourite though, the one I'm reading at the time tends to be current favourite :D

Also love Stephen King, queued for ages to get Lisey's Story signed in Oxford Street, no-one even breathes on that!

Argos in my bad books at the mo. I ordered a duvet set yesterday to be delivered to mums. Postage was cheaper than bus ;)
Got email it was being delivered today but its not been delivered  I cant track it so don't know who delivery guys are just says Home Shopping. Hope its delivered tomorrow or I will be ringing them on Friday.

Complain to them, you might just be able to get a voucher out of them if you say how you waited in etc etc :)

Yep I'm sure it will follow the same formula so a good pressie.

My kids love Warrior Cats which are written by a team of 4 women so hardly literature but apparently great reads.

Nice one. Mine are a bit slow but already sold one lot of 10 with a day's action to come, £4 each is the absolute minimum and I won't be repeating as low as this.

Still means I can fly to destination in Europe & back for £40 + fees on scheduled BA so not too bad.
  • I think £23 worth of pts cost me £5 (factor in fees of eBay & PayPal) not bad :beer::T

    Made my day :T
