I remember having to fight a battle to be allowed to wear jeans at all.

My Dad was an older dad, 42 when he had me which years ago was pretty old. He equated them to being work mens trousers or something like that, may have been something to do with WW2 he was a prisoner of war. Can't remember exactly but was the hardest battle I ever fought even with mum on my side. Nothing I know to what he experienced but he did not want to see his little girl wearing them.
