You're bang on time re: xmas fruit. :T I've not done my fruit yet, will do at the end of the month as i go to spain next Thurs for a week and i can't trust OH to stir the fruit/booze every 2/3 days whilst I'm away :rotfl:I am a bit of a control freak about it.
The recipe i use is thepinkwhisk.co.uk - ruth was a finalist on the great british bake off a few years back and I love her recipes. Really delicious and easy to follow instructions. I've made her Xmas cakes the past 3 years and everyone raves about them. I did 6 last year:eek: but 3 of them were mini ones.
Thanks. I bookmarked the link you gave me last year so I'm pleased I've actually remembered lol. And I'm with you on the control freak aspect of stirring it, I trusted no one last year and was worried they wouldn't put the lid back on properly. It's a fab website that one, I keep finding new recipes to try out.
Right I'm off to hang out the washing, the black clouds seem to have gone and the sun is breaking through0 -

Yes you would, as long as the glitch is still working. It's called "recycling" the PP. Gives you the best return.
The PP's are supposed to be effecive from the day after you shopped, but if an SA is willing/doesn't realise, they will scan against another shop that day. It's sometimes easier with PP's/APG's, to do several consecutive shops, divided on the conveyor belt, particularly if you live a distance away.
Quite a few of us will have several APG's, PP's running at any one time.
I have visions of getting a trolley, but loading with baskets so each basket has one APG or PP...That would be better for me I think!zippydooda wrote: »yes. but why wait till the next day. go straight back in and do it again. the pp will scan
In case SA is having a particularly naff day, I dont want he/she embarssing me!0 -

The cheapest place I have found for canvasses is The Works, they also sell a small table top easel with a drawer underneath for about a tenner. My DD's have one each to paint the canvasses I got them and find it much easier to paint on them than flat on a table.
Brilliant. I forgot about the works. I've got one in town so ill pop in and have a nosy. Thank youlalalauren wrote: »Yes I've definitely learnt that over the last 10 months!! It's so important to have some me time though isn't it and there's no better way than losing yourself for a while doing something you love
I'm a dance teacher so I'm quite looking forward to getting my creative side back and yet dreading going back to work too!!
Is it normal to almost feel 'guilty' at the beginning I'm sure ill get used to it!
It's very easy to feel guilty when your not working. I'm fortunate enough that I didn't have to go back to work after ds was born. We make ends meet by hosting students instead. It's a pain in the bum at times but it means that I get to spend everyday with my boy. I'm lucky and I know it. When ds is settled in nursery then I'm defo thinking about getting a little part time job doing something. In not fussed what, money is money.
Defo won't be returning to what I used to do though.Life is not about learning to avoid the storms - it's about learning to dance in the rain.0 -
