off to anglesey this morning so i better go and make my sandwiches and fill up my flask with hot water.

have a nice day peeps :)
  • Morning all.
    Hope everyone is well. :)

I'm reading backwards today. Not sure if I'm gonna manage the 30 odd pages I missed yesterday so apologies for the lack of thanks now.

You know that wonderful feeling when you rediscover something you love? I had a moment yesterday when it happened. I'm planning on redecorating the front room and I want some new pictures to hang up. I have decided to paint them myself. I use to do lots of arty things years ago but somehow lost the time to do anything. I've never painted properly before but I've done card crafting, jewellery making etc. I figure that I can do something simple I'm happy with. I'm so excited to give it go now. :D. Had anyone got any tips for me please? :)

Off for a catch up. X

    That's so lovely :)
I've always wished I could just sit down and draw/paint it's got such a calmness about it - unfortunately I'm not very good :(

Phew! Day 2 :) We had a bit of a panic when we arrived at school this morning DS2 had no earthly idea where he was supposed to be going  He got rather upset :( but we got there in the end.
DD is off to school reasonably happy for once

.........and it's just hit me that DS1 is leaving for uni in less than 2 weeks :eek: and Im not organised at all  So that's my job for today. I need to figure out what he needs and how and when Im going to get it.

Stinky, what a great idea doing the paintings yourself. Lovely to take some time out for yourself to pursue something that you love. Enjoy! :)

  • Morning peeps - been popping on and off as mega busy with ironing :p holiday stuff and pre hols little jobs.

Why is it that everything comes together - got to sort out new utilites as SSE are extortionate  and I must move before winter hits us. Also house insurance, Sky (utterly fed up with them now but worried about frying pan job) and cards to write for birthdays while I'm away.

However on friday I will be sampling the 'delights' of Ryanair on my way to somewhere warmer :):T:T Can't wait :D

I've heard that it is easier to paint something that you like, and have seen some very easy methods of painting things like trees and flowers. Tried one of the tree methods myself (admittedly on the computer :D) and it actually came out quite well - and I am NOT artistic :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
  • Good morning all x
  • The shopitize items have changed in price (Dolmio) - NOT such a great deal now. Still just 2 Pizzas on MSM for me now.
Do you think we all broke it for good? I hope not!

& good morning all too :)
