It was awful in the bad weather. I know a few who live there. Very windy and with the snow, it was nearly impossible getting down the hill.
I've been around it, everyone looking on top of each other. I had a look about some of the houses to be nosey. I thought they were very small, it looked like they tried (as most new builds do) to add rooms where there isn't enough sq. foot.
The agent did say the next phase would be mostly detached. I'd never buy a semi or townhouse here. It has too much of a social housing feel.0 -
Note I know nothing about the following but something to be aware of or at least research yourself:

Yes the snow was a pain in the hole but unfortunately it happened on a friday so all the builders where away for the weekend, although come Monday they were straight in with the diggers and making the roads passible due to the council not owning the roads yet.
Wouldnt say it has a social housing feel at all to it!0 -

Could take many years for the roads to get adopted.
It's just my opinion; I think the same about Aylesbury and Mayfield. It just looks cheap with tiny gardens, rooms and everyone looking into your house/garden. Parking looked like it could be an issue if the place ever filled up.
In fairness I'm not a fan of new builds. I don't think modern ones like these will age well.0 -

My dads house must be one of the few that doesnt fall under this category lol
4 Double Bedrooms, enough parking for 3 cars in the drive way and detached from the other houses0 -
Actually viewed this development today, the house finish was lovely. Just not sure what I think of the area etc, so many developments around. As you will see from my other posts keeping options open.0

Anyone suggest a good place to live near Belfast - the glengormley side of Belfast? In a nice residential (neutral if there is such a thing) area.
Close to good primary and secondary schools?
Looking to be about 15 mins drive away from Belfast.
Looking for a family home under 200k, somewhere we could live for 15 years or more.
Where is good to live, and how can I find out?0 -
