credit card agreement

hi need advise about a credit card capitalone ....i have complained to capitalone saying they have charged me interest on new transactions as well as old transactions so they are looking into this and said they will get back to me ...i was a bit concerned about this so i asked for my credit agreement to be sent to me ,they sent it and were you have to sign your signature i have not signed it is just printed in bold capital letters example -MY NAME -so i have never signed a credit agreement is this agreement legal or can it be classed as unenforceable---

How did you apply for the credit card.

You don't have to have a 'signed' agreement these days.

So, yes, of course its a debt you have to pay.

i`m not clear on this old/new transactions? you pay interest on the balance each month,so if you dont clear the balance at the end of the month you pay interest the following month

I'm not sure too.

For most banks and credit card companies, interest is payable on all transcations, if the card is not paid in full every month by the due date and the free interest free period only applies for purchases.

The only bank being the exception, I think, is Dankse Bank.

In relation to the no signature, no it is still ENFORCABLE, as you could have 'e-signed' this application form, and a signature (real), is no longer required to enforce debt.

Only need a signed original agreement if taken out pre April 2007.
