Can I cancel my estate agent? 7-day rule?

Today I went into my estate agent's office and signed an agreement to let them sell my flat. I agreed to pay 1.5%, which will be just over £6k inc VAT. Hours later another agent I had previously spoken to called to say that they have a promotional offer in which they're listing properties and asking for no fee whatsoever, as they're opening up a new branch. I had them reiterate it twice: all you pay for is about £70 for the energy certificate. So I could save £6k by going with the second agent.

Am I able to cancel the first agent or am I now tied in? I know that there's a seven-day cooling off period but does that still apply if I went into the shop to sign, which I did?

Seems pretty clear cut - you can cancel but they can charge you for costs of marketing they've done to date.

The OP only has the right of cancellation and the 7 day cooling off if the agreement was signed in their home or workplace, as I read it. It wasn't....
