Barclays bank

Options
I recently tried to open a Barclays account (my credit score is 750 and have no real issues..). but they refused on the grounds of "policy" and not my credit score... can they do this? and who do you contact to appeal as they referred me to my credit report which I took into them and they could see nothing major wrong with it!
can you please help with a course of action to take ???
thank you

I am at a loss as to what they mean and they offered no one to contact to write to.. just referred me back to my credit report... but they have already said there is no real issue there???
