Credit score recovery - how long?

Hey,

My wifes credit score has taken a bit of a battering due to her applying for new 0% cards without realising that each app leaves a trace and a couple of late ( not missed) payments.

realistically, how long can she expect it to take for her score to recover to at least good on the assumption that she makes now more applications and pays on time ( DD set up now!!)

Cheers

I wouldn't worry too much about the score specifically or the credit reference agency rating, any potential lenders consider the information on the report they don't see the score.

Applying for a lot of credit close together can have a short term impact on your ability to get new credit. Once those searches are over 6months old they will likely have a neglible effect on your ability to get credit.

The older the missed payment markers are then the less an impact they will have. But in the first year or so at least they will likely make it hard to get any of the best deals around.
