Mortgage help

I'm new here this is my situation that I'm trying to find the answer to
I own my property out right value around 140k
I want to relise 50 k equity from it i work on temp contracts i have been to loads of mortgage brokers all say it can't be done i find it ridiclous when I have all my equity in it
Any help would be much appreciated

    What is the money for?

    How long have you been employed on a contract? Is it ongoing? Same company?

    Why do you think it is ridiculous? How would you maintain the payments if your employment is erratic? Equity doesn't pay the mortgage, income does.

    Lenders need to satisfy themselves that you are able to affrord payments.

    Given the loan to value and perceived credit score, I would fancy there will be a solution.

    Obviously it depends upon the details, but also the experience of the broker/s
