Skipton BS DIP

Hello again - I wonder if anyone can answer me a question.

I received a DIP from Skipton Building Society and my mortgage broker recommended a 3 year fixed deal at 2.79%. My application has just gone in.

My problem is that I am worried about being rejected. The broker is sure that Skipton have already credit checked, however a review of my credit reports ( all 3) does not show any searches from Skipton.

My credit history is not great * ( see below for details if relevant)

All my debts have been settled over the last few months and my LTV is 45% on a house worth £165,000. Mortgage is just under twice my salary.

Is it likely that I will get rejected ? I thought that a credit check was normally done at DIP stage - my broker seems to think all is well, but she was surprised when I said that I could not see the search on my credit report.

(Apologies for starting a new thread - I was going to revive my old one, but I had used 'despeate' in the title - and I don't want to get desperate - I think that there is a mortgage out there for me somewhere, but I'm worried that this one is may be out of my league with my credit history)

(* credit histoty - a default in October 2009 and some missed payments in 2011 ( which were a mistake on Barclaycard's part, but are still on my report as missed) and also one creditor who had me down as an arrangement to pay (account settled early 2012) even though the arrangement to pay had run out years before that)

  • Sorry - please ignore the above - I was as stupid as someone from the Standing at the Back Dressed Stupidly and Looking Stupid Party.

When I worked put that I needed to run an update of my credit report, there was the search from Skipton :o.

So maybe it's not out of my league after all :)
