Sainsburys school uniform

Have just been to Hornchurch Sainsburys and they have nearly all their uniform marked with an orange sticker as £2. These include 3 pack shirts and 2 pack trousers. Mine is a small store and there was lots in stock. Sales assistant said every store should have the promotion, HTH.

  • Thanks op! Can confirm this... My local doesn't usually stick uniform hence the reduction. However they were not stickered as reduced. Socks and pants etc went through at £1 and all other uniform £2 :-)
Not much selection left but got the next size up
  • Sadly my Sainsburys Local is still scanning through at full price :( I bought our little one age 2 trousers there yesterday (after trying on the age 3 ones we'd bought for nursery - which were hovering somewhere under his chin!! so MILES too big) at full price (£8) and the shop assistant said I could return them and rebuy them if they reduced them this week, so fingers crossed it'll be reduced in the morning. Our store doesnt normally stock uniform either, but has PLENTY stock of everything in all sizes... although ours doesnt have underwear, or pinafore dresses. I have my eye on a pack of age 2 polo shirts as I bought his in age 3 .... :A

Thanks I will heading to my branch tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
My dd started Reception 2 days ago I've realised I don't really have enough uniform, just the exact amount.

  • Not in Ely either :(
  • None in Hemel (Woodhall Farm or Apsley).

I asked the assistant who said they were only reducing school uniform in stores that don't usually stock it, like Watford or Chesham.

This morning I got school trousers for my daughter. Sets of 2 pairs were reduced from £8 to £2. I got 2 sets, one in her current size and another in the next size up. They had black and grey, also boys' trousers, grey skirts and red and grey jumpers. Unfortunately no black skirts. My daughter has just moved to a new school and they are very strict about uniform. Anyway, I was very pleased with my bargain :j
  • beware when buying Sainsbury's school trousers as they are sized very large! Bought age 6-7 for my son who is already 117cm tall (so above the minimum height) and they practically slid down his legs even when the elastics were done to the most extreme with the buttons. The length was perfect but I think that Sainsbury's are expecting the UK children to be rather thicker around the waist than the average (my son is one month off turning 6 and everything else he wears is now age 6-7 but he's not overweight etc)
All of my views are my own :o

My son is very small for his age and at almost 6 wears Sainsburys age 4 shirts that come to his knees. Out of all the supermarket polos Saisnburys are the best quality though.

Not on offer at Sainsburys Telford.
