Can anybody help bring costs down?

Yeah, forgot to mention I'd totally forget the disposable cameras. They're terrible quality, cost a fortune to develop, people don't tend to use them and everyone has smartphones nowadays anyway.

What I'd do is borrow/get some cheap digital cameras, make a badge saying "Official Paparazzi" and give them to a couple of kids. They can go around photographing everyone and the results are often hilarious.

I love the "official paparazzi" idea!! We might use that one ourselves if you don't mind?

Freecycle can be good, but from my point of view (a person who is normally responding to people adverts saying I'd love to have the whatever it is you don't need any more because blah blah blah) it can be dis-heartening too. I never seem to strike lucky.

But you might find it different from a "we need these please" point of view. Even if you ask just to borrow some cameras rather than have them permanently...

The official paparazzi idea is fab, we have a few kids coming so this would keep them entertained for an hour at least :-) I think I joined freegle a while back and that kept happening but may as well have a go and see if anything comes back. Xxx

Have a staged cake cutting ceremony before the wedding breakfast that way you can let your photographer go before the meal, saving several hours of their time.
