How much do I earn!?!!

Hi, I have been trying to work out how much exactly I earn.
I work for two separate companies. Both I have a permanent contract with and I work three days with one and two with the other which creates a full working week for me.

Company 1 who I work with 3 days a week pay me £1051.55 after pension and tax per month.

Company 2 who I work with 2 days a week, pay me £847.55 after tax per month.

The trouble is that I pay separate tax for each job. One is on BR, the other on 944L.
I have tried using the take home calculators but get different results depending on if I put my total salary as a combined sum or two separate ones.

Can anyone help?

what exactly are you asking for ?
do you want to know roughly what salary you would be or ?
or just interested to know if you are paying the correct amount of tax?

i assume the 944L tax code is on the 3 days a week job ?
as you will be earning over the tax allowance with this job, then the code for both jobs will be correct.

this means you will get all of your tax allowance in one job and pay tax on your whole earnings from your 2nd
  • Hi there,
    Thanks for your reply.
I am just interested to know what salary I am on with the two added together. I am expecting it to be around the 30k mark. If I go to job interviews, it is often a question which can be asked so it is good to be clear.

Actually the BR is for the 3 day per week job, my two day per week job has the 944L tax code.

without pensions, it'll be roughly £15000 for the first, and £13500 for the 2nd

    so about £28.5k

so that'll be abit higher including the pension (but depends on how much goes on the pension)

    Thanks for your helpful calculation.
I believe the pension is around £100 each month.
There is also a £10.00 deduction each month for Student Loan.
The rest is national insurance and income tax.

Looks like your student loan isnt being deducted from both incomes, you may need to point this out else you will be liable for them to reclaim when they notice.

Hi, I have sent a letter pointing this out in the past, it never seems to have changed.
How would they reclaim? Just start charging more per month?
