help after discharge dose anyone know

hi my oh has been discharged for six months it was an automated discharge and we have never herd from the or since my oh went bankrucpt in oct 05 dose this mean that all his debt are now settled there has been no adverts in the local paper saying who got what there been no comucation with the or since oct 06 what should we be doing now
i cant slow down i wont be waiting for you i cant stop now because im dancing

    Hi earwig,

    There's nothing you need to do specifically but there are a couple of things that a lot of people do to limit the damage done by bankruptcy.

    You can obtain a certificate of discharge from the Court for a fee of £60 and I think your O.H will need to contact his O.R to put the wheels in motion there. The other thing is to obtain his credit files from the big three agencies and make sure all his debts are marked as being settled.

    If you want a final statement of affairs I'm sure the O.R would furnish you with one.
