frozen whole chicken in slow cooker

Would you or have you pot roasted a chicken from frozen in the slow cooker? Would it be safe? Tia

    I've done legs from frozen but now a whole chicken......

    Not sure I would - I know you can roast a bird from frozen

    maybe google it - ???

    I wouldn't do it. The danger time when bacteria will multiply is the in-between time when the meat is neither hot nor cold. A slow cooker will keep it at this time for longer than an oven.

  • i wouldnt cook a whole chicken from frozen in a sc...im not sure the heat would get through to where it needed to

    I would never cook any meat from frozen with a bone in it. I have also read that you shouldnt put anything frozen in the slowcooker as it doesn't get hot enough to cook it properly.

    As others have said, no I wouldn't as I don't think it would be thawed properly

    yes I have.. and lumps of gammon.. I'm yet to kill anyone.. just make sure it is thoroughly cooked before eating it'll be fine.

    I always add frozen meat when doing casseroles etc.

    I wouldnt just because of the amount of time it would take....pressure cook it?
